I believe that the problem was not about laci “making mistakes” but was more about her poor response to criticism and that she made the same mistakes over again anyways. And also I follow a bunch of blogs that have gotten death/rape threats multiple times for sharing their political views, but John and Hank and the rest of tumblr haven’t come to their defense. I find it ironic that this debate is partly about the use of words that “sting,” but John and hank BOTH used those words (they begin with T and R) in their defenses of LG, and even acknowledge that those words hurt people just by being said. This backlash against LG. isn’t something new and scary, it’s what happens when you get popular. She can wait it out and come back and get even more YouTube hits because this happened. John and Hank added nothing valuable to this discussion except their fame.
