One thing I really like about occidental is that in the gym there are these huge paintings of women athletes looking badass and awesome. They’re paintings, which is different from classic gymnasium decor, and they’re of women, which is different from classic gymnasium decor, and they’re by an alum, which is sweet of them. I think women can sometimes feel out of place in a gym with all the grunting muscular dudes throwing fifty pound weights in the air like a q-tip, but those painting certainly make me feel a little more happy to be there. Good job oxy for recognizing that 1. Your student body is mostly female and 2. The sports teams that actually do well in competition are your female ones. Way to rep.
